We are excited to announce that the Hartington Public Library has earned a 5-star rating in Library Journal's national ranking of public libraries for 2022, putting us at #6 in our budget category. This is the 14 year out of 15 years that we have received this honor (in 2014, we received a 4 star rating)
What does this mean? Library Journal collects statistics from each library, arranged by budget category, and ranks them annually based on per capita usage statistics like circulation, library visits, program attendance, and computer usage etc... This year, after reviewing over 5,350 libraries, Library Journal gave 85 libraries a 5-star rating, placing the Hartington Public Library in the top 1.6% in the United States.
A big thank to our wonderful library users for putting us on the map again and for your support of library services and all that we offer here in Hartington.
