Upcoming Program – Career Chat Live

Career Chat Live offers live, virtual career exploration opportunities. Our upcoming program will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Each session focuses on a new set of careers. During each session, youth will get to meet workforce professionals in that career field and have the opportunity to ask questions with the guest speakers. Career Chat Live is designed for middle-school-aged youth, and youth do not need to be enrolled in 4-H to participate.

You can find the morning and afternoon registration links on our webpage https://4h.unl.edu/career-chat-live. The Career Chat Live program is a partnership between Nebraska Extension 4-H Youth Development and EducationQuest Foundation.

*********

Our partner EducationQuest Foundation has sent information out to school counselors (they send to everyone they have contact information for – public and I believe parochial too) in late October so feel free to reach out to your schools and encourage participation. You are all welcome to register and attend. If you have home schools in the area, feel free to share out to them as well. Please share out in social media, email, newsletters, newspaper, etc., as well to help get the word out too.

Because this comes up as a question, yes, other grades such as high school, are welcome to attend as well. Also, check back to the site in the coming weeks and we will have a reflection worksheet to use with each session linked in the careers column once it is finalized. Recordings will be sent out to schools that register following the program, and we will also post them on our webpage as well.
