On September 21st and 22nd Cedar County classrooms participated in a program featuring the life cycle of a pumpkin. This session was presented by Extension Educator, Megan Hanefeldt.
Youth participants had the opportunity to feel the inside of a pumpkin, see how a pumpkin grows on a vine, taste pumpkin seeds and create a life cycle wheel. Participating classrooms included: Randolph 2nd grade, Holy Trinity 2nd grade, East/West Catholic 1st/2nd grade, Hartington 2nd grade and Laurel Concord Coleridge 2nd grade.
