Siu

The Northeast Community College baseball and softball teams placed five players each on the Omaha World-Herald All-Midlands Baseball and Softball Teams, respectively. In all, 10 different Hawks student-athletes were honored after both programs set school records for highest winning percentages in a season.

On the baseball side, University of Illinois Chicago commit Zane Zielinski (Chicago, Ill.) was named the starting shortstop of the team while outfielder Harrison Taubert (Casper, Wyo.) and second baseman (who made the team as the designated hitter) Taylor Gill (Orem, Utah) were both rewarded after outstanding freshman campaigns. Charleston Southern University commit and catcher Samuel Manwarren (Overland Park, Kan.) and University of Nebraska at Omaha commit and starting pitcher Preston Tenney (Parker, Colo.) were both named honorable mentions on the list.

As for the Northeast softball team, catcher Brianna Aguilera (Pierce, Neb.) was named to the team after her third year in a Hawks uniform. Sophomore Greta Lindberg (Tekamah, Neb.) spent much of the year as a starting pitcher and first baseman for the Hawks but was named to the team as the designated hitter for her efforts as the Northeast cleanup hitter for much of the season. Freshman Josie Knust (Plattsmouth, Neb.) followed Lindberg in the lineup all year but was named to the team for performances as a starting pitcher. Sophomore third baseman Abby Balfour (Nebraska City, Neb.) and freshman starting pitcher Emilee Spitz (Columbus, Neb.) were both named honorable mentions.
