Remedan Abdulahi is a recent graduate of South Sioux City High School. A very recent graduate, in fact he graduated only ten days ago. Remedan spoke to the entire staff at the "District End of the Year Assembly" yesterday afternoon in the Middle School Auditorium. Bundled in his speech were countless celebrations, messages, reminders, and lessons that were a perfect fit for this end of the year gathering. Remedan came to this country only about 5 years ago and did not know English… yesterday he spoke to 500+ teachers and staff like a pro! BTW – He mentioned nonchalantly that English is like is 5th or 6th language! Wow! He is headed off to UNL with goals to become a MD!
