At about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to a call of a vehicle in the ditch near 839th Road and 561st Avenue Northwest of Stanton. Upon arriving the lone male driver, John Lacey, 58, of Sioux City, IA was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for Aggravated DWI-3rd offense. He was booked the Sheriff’s office where he tested three times the legal blood alcohol limit and was later released on a $1000.00 cash bond. Lacey has five prior DWI convictions on his drivers abstract.
